Ethan was the best, nice clean job and worked his way through the challenges. Even doing some of my special requests
Highly recommend Jackson at Glacier Plumbing. He took care of some plumbing work at my house and did a great job start to finish - showed up on time, knew exactly what he was doing, and the work was clean and solid. Straightforward about pricing, no surprises, and he didn't leave a mess behind. Easy to deal with and clearly takes pride in his work. If you need a plumber you can trust, Jackson's your guy.
Glacier plumbing is the finest company with Integrity, The owner Jackson helped us with a plumbing issue and did an outstanding job. I was so impressed with their service he's sending someone over to replace a shower valve issue. Outstanding service, I highly recommend this company...
Called about a leaking Pressure Release Valve and they were out the very next day. They were upfront and honest and the repair was complete within 40 min. Their pricing was reasonable. Brett was polite and great to work with.
Glacier is prompt, fast and efficient. I am so glad I chose them. They had my boiler back up and running in no time. Highly recommend!
Cody shows up and does an amazing job! He is really professionally and knows what he is doing. He gets the job done fast and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I definitely recommend his company. Thanks for the good work.
We h.ad Bret come to do the plumbing. He has to do this with a snake & then getting is what he used to fix it. We was excellent. He did a good job and cleaned up everything spotless. He was very professional
We were looking to replace a bathtub in our master bath, but it seemed like it would be too expensive to do so. We got an amazing quote from Glacier and decided to go ahead with it. There was some confusion about the quote and it was considerably lower than it should have been, but Glacier honored it. It is rare to find a company that will stand by its word like that. I couldn't be more impressed. The technician who came out to do the demo was on time, respectful of our home, and he went out of his way to make sure all of our questions were answered - even questions we didn't know we had yet.
Thank you to our most wonderful technician who did such a great job for us in a timely and professional manner.
recently had Glacier Plumbing install a driveway heating system at my home and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Jackson and Ethan, the owners, were both fantastic to work with from start to finish. Ethan handled most of the installation himself, and his attention to detail and craftsmanship really stood out. The entire process was smooth, professional, and well-communicated. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the job was done right. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. If you’re considering a driveway heater or any plumbing work, I highly recommend Glacier Plumbing. Jackson and Ethan truly deliver excellent service and quality work.
Professional dispatcher! Enjoyed talking to Catherine! Working to find a good time for our family. Definitely will call back!
Very small leak that took some time to find, but once found a quick fix. Appreciated the time to explain everything.
I have had Ethan do several small and large jobs at my place over the years. He always does an A+ job and is very fair in pricing. I always feel like I made the right choice in choosing Ethan and his team to come help us out with our plumbing needs.
Ethan is awesome and did a great job hooking up my outdoor fire pit to my gas line!
They came out to our house to look at some clogged rain gutters going underground. They showed up on time, gave a good assessment of the situation and reported options to me. I'm very happy with the service.
These guys are honest and decently priced, are not a bought out company either! Highly recommend.
As the Landlord who wasn't with them every step of the way, Bret was astute and went beyond my expectations. Their reply wasn't as quickly received and communication was tricky (because of me), but they won my business. They were cooperative, available when I needed them, and good on the pricing. Yes, I would do business with them again. In this case, my only request would be completion pictures from Glacier.
We had a clogged sink that turned out to be quite the hassle. Brett with Glacier plumbing was incredibly helpful and showed us each step throughout the process to that we felt comfortable and informed with what was going on. He also gave us little tips for how to avoid future problems. While we hope we don't need a plumber again anytime soon, in the case that we do, we will definitely reach out to them again!
These guys are the go-to for plumbing installation and repair! Jackson was super friendly and polite. Catherine was a delight on the phones for scheduling!
Super easy to work with and really knows his stuff. Showed up on time, was honest about what needed to be done, and got it taken care of without any hassle. Definitely someone I’d recommend!
Jackson came out to assess our situation. Was very professional and friendly as was Catherine in scheduling. I would highly recommend!
Brett was really great, he has been to my house twice for separate projects and has been professional and knowledgeable.
Huge thank you to Austin, who is an honest, hardworking dude. Fantastic service!
I had called because we had no heat. Jackson responded and arranged to come out on a Sunday. He got the heat working temporarily. He and his business partner came again a few days later to install a new boiler. They did a fantastic job! They worked quickly and did a great job. Jackson even checked the temperature on our water heater. Jackson explained things well to us. I would recommend this company and use them again in the future.
My 39 year old boiler failed in January 2026, Glacier Plumbing responded same day and had replacement boiler installed within a week! They do professional work and are competitively priced. I would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.
Great customer Service, quick to respond. Ethan was efficient and very transparent as well as very knowledgeable about the work. I will recommend him strongly and we will be reaching back out for any future issues
Ethan came out to help us with some faucet issues we were having. We thought we had trouble shored the situation prior to calling in a plumber. But he quickly solved the problem for us (it was an easy fix we missed) explained how we can resolve it and waived the fee for coming all the way out. He was super honest and friendly, and I would highly recommend this establishment for any plumbing issues, and we will be reaching back out if we are need of one as well!
Jackson and Ethan came by and gave me an estimate for replacing my Radiant Heat/Hot Water Boiler system. They explained what I needed done to get my 20 year old system up to speed. Answered all my questions and gave me all the options. They then did a great job on the installation. I’m very happy with the finished product! I will definitely use them again.
Jackson is awesome. He knows his stuff, was reasonably priced and left our house clean. Will definitely call him again.
Jackson and Ethan did a great job replacing my 31 year old Buderus boiler. They were able to get the new boiler installed with heat/hot water running within 24 hours. I feel like I got a fair price for the boiler, heat exchanger and labor. I’m looking forward to many years of trouble-free heat and hot water from my new system. I’d recommend Glacier to others who need help with their hydronic heat system.
I can’t thank Ethan enough for the services that he did! He came out to our house and gave us his honest opinion of what was needed immediate attention and what eventually needed to be done. Our water heater needed to be replaced and some pipes as well to go with it. Thankfully it was done the same day and we have him coming back to fix a few other things too! Very professional, efficient and honest, you can’t find many people like that anymore. Thanks !
Our boiler that was installed three years ago broke down and we came to find out that the company that produces those boilers went out of business unexpectedly. We reached out to the previous company that installed it for us and they tried to charge us $5000 more than the original install to replace it. We reached out to glacier and they provided us with a fair replacement of a reputable piece of US built equipment and we were back up and running in about 24 hours. If you’re looking for fair pricing, good quality and superior customer service don’t hesitate to give them a call. You can really tell that they care about the work they do and their customers. Thank You Jackson and Glacier!
I had an excellent experience and could not be happier with the service. I really appreciated the straightforward communication on everything. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work and will definitely use them again in the future! Thank you Dustin!
We lived several hours away, Ethan quickly verified our situation over the phone, and once I fully understood the problem, I was able to resolve it quickly. Thx Ethan!
Dustin did a great job out here in the Uintah basin. He is loyal to his work, warranty, and a great communicator. I will be using him again as needed.
100% recommend Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics - our older HTP boiler broke down. Unfortunately we called a general plumber first and didn’t realize how specialized the system was. A costly lesson. Found Glacier Plumbing and Ethan came in next day. So professional. Clean working, super knowledgeable. We decided to replace the boiler since the other was no longer viable. The new boiler was up and running quickly and now is better than before.
I had boiler problems the first weekend of October 25. I can’t say how I chose Glacer, maybe just good luck. They had a crew out here the next day. Long story short, I had lots of issues. They were all taken care of on time and on budget. My system now works better than ever before. I won’t hesitate to call on them again or recommend them to anyone else.
Called them late at night on Saturday for help fixing my boiler. They came out that night, diagnosed the problem, and scheduled a time to come back the next morning. By Sunday afternoon I was back up and running. Very professional, clean, and easy to work with. Would recommend them to anyone residential or commercial.
I have had a great experience with Glacier. My boiler would not light so I previously called one of the larger HVAC organizations that works in the valley and it cost me $350 for no solutions and lots of negative feelings. Their representative knew exactly what to look for and exactly how my boiler functioned. I was not asked to pay for the initial visit, but I plan to have my boiler replaced rather than just repair because it is very old. I will update my review after they have replaced the boiler.
We received prompt and professional service for full boiler replacement. After 3 bids, we decided on Glacier and a day and a half later we were back up and running with a new boiler. Jackson did a great job during the installation, and his communications were excellent. He then followed up a couple days later to be sure everything was running smoothly and took the time to teach us about our new system. I have no hesitation recommending this company.
Ethan was great at answering all our questions and installing our water heater and water softener. Highly recommend using this company!
Jackson fit us in the same day I called for help when our snow melt boiler was making a strange sound that worried us. He came even if he already had a full day of appointments and fit us in late in his evening, checking out our system, explaining things and assuring that everything was working well which gave us peace of mind. We appreciated his honesty and willingness to help us so late in the day!
Jackson at Glacier Plumbing did a fantastic job for us. Our driveway snow melting system had shutdown due to a leak in the boiler system. It’s hard to find someone that specializes in boilers and radiant heating systems. I lucked out when I called Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics. Not only did Jackson have an amazing understanding of the total system, but he was able to obtain the parts necessary and get the system up and working right away. I would highly recommend this company, especially for boiler works, but also for any other plumbing needs. Thomas Paddock
Our Tankless Installation Process
In-Home Assessment
We review the existing water heater, household demand, utilities, plumbing configuration, and possible equipment locations.
System Recommendation
Our plumber explains suitable unit capacities and whether gas, electric, or multiple-unit equipment is appropriate.
Installation Scope and Estimate
We identify the required plumbing, venting, mounting, drainage, and utility changes. You receive a clear estimate before approving the work.
Existing Equipment Removal
When converting from a storage tank, we disconnect and remove the old water heater when included in the project scope.
Tankless Unit Installation
We mount the new equipment and complete the approved water, gas, venting, and drainage connections. Required electrical modifications are coordinated separately.
System Testing
We test activation, water flow, temperature, controls, visible connections, and applicable safety components.
Customer Review
Before leaving, we explain basic operation, available controls, maintenance expectations, and manufacturer guidance.
Gas or Electric Tankless Installation
Gas Tankless Water Heaters
Gas systems can support higher whole-home flow rates in many properties. They require adequate fuel capacity, combustion air, and compatible venting. Condensing models may also need a suitable condensate drain.
Electric Tankless Water Heaters
Electric systems do not require combustion venting, but whole-home models can place significant demand on the electrical service. An electrical professional must confirm that the property can support the selected unit.
Point-of-use electric models may work for individual fixtures, but they differ from systems designed to serve an entire home.
Tankless Water Heater Installation Costs
Installation cost depends on:
- Unit type and capacity
- Gas or electric operation
- Existing water-heater setup
- Gas-line requirements
- Venting configuration
- Electrical capacity
- Condensate drainage
- Equipment location
- Permit and inspection requirements
- Removal of the old unit
A tank-to-tankless conversion generally involves more work than replacing an existing tankless unit. Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics provides an estimate based on the home and selected equipment. Financing options may be available for qualifying projects.
Tankless Installation Across North Salt Lake
We install tankless water heaters throughout Foxboro, Eaglewood, Springhill, Hatch Farms, the Town Center area, and North Salt Lake’s hillside neighborhoods.
Homes across these communities have different bathroom counts, utility capacities, equipment locations, and hot-water demands. Finished basements, garages, utility rooms, and limited mechanical spaces can also affect unit placement.
We evaluate each property individually instead of recommending one tankless model for every North Salt Lake home.

Sizing a Tankless Water Heater Correctly
Tankless water heaters are sized according to flow rate and required temperature rise. Choosing a unit based only on household size can lead to poor performance when multiple fixtures run at once.
We consider:
- Number of bathrooms
- Number of people in the home
- Simultaneous shower use
- Faucets and water-using appliances
- Incoming water temperature
- Desired hot-water temperature
- Gas or electrical capacity
- Future household needs
North Salt Lake’s colder winter water requires the system to produce a greater temperature rise. Include this local condition when calculating the required heating capacity.
An undersized unit may deliver lower temperatures or reduced flow during peak use. Correct sizing helps the new system perform as expected.
Requirements for Tank-to-Tankless Conversion
Replacing a storage tank with tankless equipment is not always a direct swap. The new unit may require different fuel, venting, electrical, drainage, and mounting.
A conversion assessment may include:
- Existing water lines
- Gas-pipe capacity
- Electrical service
- Venting route
- Combustion-air requirements
- Condensate drainage
- Wall strength and mounting space
- Equipment clearances
- Shutoff valves
- Future service access
Gas tankless systems may require a larger gas line or different venting. Whole-home electric units can require substantial electrical capacity. A qualified electrician must complete new circuits, panel changes, and wiring modifications.

Benefits and Considerations
A properly sized tankless water heater can offer:
- Hot water without waiting for a tank to recover
- Reduced standby heat loss
- Compact wall-mounted equipment
- More available floor space
- Replaceable internal components
- Longer potential service life
- Flexible equipment placement
Homeowners should also consider:
- Higher initial installation costs
- Possible gas, venting, or electrical upgrades
- Flow limitations during simultaneous use
- Hard-water maintenance needs
- Manufacturer-specific service requirements
We explain both the benefits and installation demands before recommending a conversion.
Your Satisfaction – Our Commitment
At Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics LLC, your happiness drives everything we do. Our promise is simple: outstanding workmanship, clear communication, and complete customer satisfaction – guaranteed.
Hard-Water Protection and Maintenance Planning
North Salt Lake’s hard water can create mineral scale inside a tankless heat exchanger. Scale restricts narrow passages and can affect flow, temperature, and efficiency.
Installation planning may include:
- Accessible service valves
- Flush connections
- Water-hardness evaluation
- Manufacturer-approved maintenance planning
- Discussion of appropriate water treatment
- Easy access for future service
The maintenance schedule depends on the unit, household use, manufacturer guidance, and local water conditions. Installing the system with future service in mind makes ongoing care easier.

Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics provides:
- Household hot-water demand calculations
- Tankless system sizing
- Tank-to-tankless conversions
- Gas and electric equipment guidance
- Plumbing, venting, and drainage coordination
- Installation planning for hard-water conditions

Frequently Asked Questions About Tankless Installation in North Salt Lake
Cost depends on the equipment, required flow rate, fuel source, installation location, and necessary plumbing, gas, venting, drainage, or electrical changes. Converting from a storage tank typically costs more than replacing an existing tankless unit. An on-site assessment is required for accurate pricing.
Many installations can be completed within one working day, but conversions involving gas-line changes, new venting, electrical upgrades, permitting, or difficult equipment access may take longer. We explain the expected schedule after reviewing the property.
Sizing depends on simultaneous fixture flow and the temperature rise between incoming and heated water. We consider showers, faucets, appliances, household habits, and colder winter inlet temperatures before recommending a unit.
Permit and inspection requirements depend on the equipment and modifications involved. Changes to plumbing, gas, venting, or electrical systems may require approval. Confirm applicable requirements and include them in the installation plan before work begins.
Possibly, but many tankless systems require more gas input than conventional storage tanks. We must evaluate the existing line size, length, pressure, connected appliances, and selected unit. If an upgrade is required, we explain it before installation.
