Ethan was the best, nice clean job and worked his way through the challenges. Even doing some of my special requests
Highly recommend Jackson at Glacier Plumbing. He took care of some plumbing work at my house and did a great job start to finish - showed up on time, knew exactly what he was doing, and the work was clean and solid. Straightforward about pricing, no surprises, and he didn't leave a mess behind. Easy to deal with and clearly takes pride in his work. If you need a plumber you can trust, Jackson's your guy.
Glacier plumbing is the finest company with Integrity, The owner Jackson helped us with a plumbing issue and did an outstanding job. I was so impressed with their service he's sending someone over to replace a shower valve issue. Outstanding service, I highly recommend this company...
Called about a leaking Pressure Release Valve and they were out the very next day. They were upfront and honest and the repair was complete within 40 min. Their pricing was reasonable. Brett was polite and great to work with.
Glacier is prompt, fast and efficient. I am so glad I chose them. They had my boiler back up and running in no time. Highly recommend!
Cody shows up and does an amazing job! He is really professionally and knows what he is doing. He gets the job done fast and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I definitely recommend his company. Thanks for the good work.
We h.ad Bret come to do the plumbing. He has to do this with a snake & then getting is what he used to fix it. We was excellent. He did a good job and cleaned up everything spotless. He was very professional
We were looking to replace a bathtub in our master bath, but it seemed like it would be too expensive to do so. We got an amazing quote from Glacier and decided to go ahead with it. There was some confusion about the quote and it was considerably lower than it should have been, but Glacier honored it. It is rare to find a company that will stand by its word like that. I couldn't be more impressed. The technician who came out to do the demo was on time, respectful of our home, and he went out of his way to make sure all of our questions were answered - even questions we didn't know we had yet.
Thank you to our most wonderful technician who did such a great job for us in a timely and professional manner.
recently had Glacier Plumbing install a driveway heating system at my home and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Jackson and Ethan, the owners, were both fantastic to work with from start to finish. Ethan handled most of the installation himself, and his attention to detail and craftsmanship really stood out. The entire process was smooth, professional, and well-communicated. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the job was done right. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. If you’re considering a driveway heater or any plumbing work, I highly recommend Glacier Plumbing. Jackson and Ethan truly deliver excellent service and quality work.
Professional dispatcher! Enjoyed talking to Catherine! Working to find a good time for our family. Definitely will call back!
Very small leak that took some time to find, but once found a quick fix. Appreciated the time to explain everything.
I have had Ethan do several small and large jobs at my place over the years. He always does an A+ job and is very fair in pricing. I always feel like I made the right choice in choosing Ethan and his team to come help us out with our plumbing needs.
Ethan is awesome and did a great job hooking up my outdoor fire pit to my gas line!
They came out to our house to look at some clogged rain gutters going underground. They showed up on time, gave a good assessment of the situation and reported options to me. I'm very happy with the service.
These guys are honest and decently priced, are not a bought out company either! Highly recommend.
As the Landlord who wasn't with them every step of the way, Bret was astute and went beyond my expectations. Their reply wasn't as quickly received and communication was tricky (because of me), but they won my business. They were cooperative, available when I needed them, and good on the pricing. Yes, I would do business with them again. In this case, my only request would be completion pictures from Glacier.
We had a clogged sink that turned out to be quite the hassle. Brett with Glacier plumbing was incredibly helpful and showed us each step throughout the process to that we felt comfortable and informed with what was going on. He also gave us little tips for how to avoid future problems. While we hope we don't need a plumber again anytime soon, in the case that we do, we will definitely reach out to them again!
These guys are the go-to for plumbing installation and repair! Jackson was super friendly and polite. Catherine was a delight on the phones for scheduling!
Super easy to work with and really knows his stuff. Showed up on time, was honest about what needed to be done, and got it taken care of without any hassle. Definitely someone I’d recommend!
Jackson came out to assess our situation. Was very professional and friendly as was Catherine in scheduling. I would highly recommend!
Brett was really great, he has been to my house twice for separate projects and has been professional and knowledgeable.
Huge thank you to Austin, who is an honest, hardworking dude. Fantastic service!
I had called because we had no heat. Jackson responded and arranged to come out on a Sunday. He got the heat working temporarily. He and his business partner came again a few days later to install a new boiler. They did a fantastic job! They worked quickly and did a great job. Jackson even checked the temperature on our water heater. Jackson explained things well to us. I would recommend this company and use them again in the future.
My 39 year old boiler failed in January 2026, Glacier Plumbing responded same day and had replacement boiler installed within a week! They do professional work and are competitively priced. I would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.
Great customer Service, quick to respond. Ethan was efficient and very transparent as well as very knowledgeable about the work. I will recommend him strongly and we will be reaching back out for any future issues
Ethan came out to help us with some faucet issues we were having. We thought we had trouble shored the situation prior to calling in a plumber. But he quickly solved the problem for us (it was an easy fix we missed) explained how we can resolve it and waived the fee for coming all the way out. He was super honest and friendly, and I would highly recommend this establishment for any plumbing issues, and we will be reaching back out if we are need of one as well!
Jackson and Ethan came by and gave me an estimate for replacing my Radiant Heat/Hot Water Boiler system. They explained what I needed done to get my 20 year old system up to speed. Answered all my questions and gave me all the options. They then did a great job on the installation. I’m very happy with the finished product! I will definitely use them again.
Jackson is awesome. He knows his stuff, was reasonably priced and left our house clean. Will definitely call him again.
Jackson and Ethan did a great job replacing my 31 year old Buderus boiler. They were able to get the new boiler installed with heat/hot water running within 24 hours. I feel like I got a fair price for the boiler, heat exchanger and labor. I’m looking forward to many years of trouble-free heat and hot water from my new system. I’d recommend Glacier to others who need help with their hydronic heat system.
I can’t thank Ethan enough for the services that he did! He came out to our house and gave us his honest opinion of what was needed immediate attention and what eventually needed to be done. Our water heater needed to be replaced and some pipes as well to go with it. Thankfully it was done the same day and we have him coming back to fix a few other things too! Very professional, efficient and honest, you can’t find many people like that anymore. Thanks !
Our boiler that was installed three years ago broke down and we came to find out that the company that produces those boilers went out of business unexpectedly. We reached out to the previous company that installed it for us and they tried to charge us $5000 more than the original install to replace it. We reached out to glacier and they provided us with a fair replacement of a reputable piece of US built equipment and we were back up and running in about 24 hours. If you’re looking for fair pricing, good quality and superior customer service don’t hesitate to give them a call. You can really tell that they care about the work they do and their customers. Thank You Jackson and Glacier!
I had an excellent experience and could not be happier with the service. I really appreciated the straightforward communication on everything. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work and will definitely use them again in the future! Thank you Dustin!
We lived several hours away, Ethan quickly verified our situation over the phone, and once I fully understood the problem, I was able to resolve it quickly. Thx Ethan!
Dustin did a great job out here in the Uintah basin. He is loyal to his work, warranty, and a great communicator. I will be using him again as needed.
100% recommend Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics - our older HTP boiler broke down. Unfortunately we called a general plumber first and didn’t realize how specialized the system was. A costly lesson. Found Glacier Plumbing and Ethan came in next day. So professional. Clean working, super knowledgeable. We decided to replace the boiler since the other was no longer viable. The new boiler was up and running quickly and now is better than before.
I had boiler problems the first weekend of October 25. I can’t say how I chose Glacer, maybe just good luck. They had a crew out here the next day. Long story short, I had lots of issues. They were all taken care of on time and on budget. My system now works better than ever before. I won’t hesitate to call on them again or recommend them to anyone else.
Called them late at night on Saturday for help fixing my boiler. They came out that night, diagnosed the problem, and scheduled a time to come back the next morning. By Sunday afternoon I was back up and running. Very professional, clean, and easy to work with. Would recommend them to anyone residential or commercial.
I have had a great experience with Glacier. My boiler would not light so I previously called one of the larger HVAC organizations that works in the valley and it cost me $350 for no solutions and lots of negative feelings. Their representative knew exactly what to look for and exactly how my boiler functioned. I was not asked to pay for the initial visit, but I plan to have my boiler replaced rather than just repair because it is very old. I will update my review after they have replaced the boiler.
We received prompt and professional service for full boiler replacement. After 3 bids, we decided on Glacier and a day and a half later we were back up and running with a new boiler. Jackson did a great job during the installation, and his communications were excellent. He then followed up a couple days later to be sure everything was running smoothly and took the time to teach us about our new system. I have no hesitation recommending this company.
Ethan was great at answering all our questions and installing our water heater and water softener. Highly recommend using this company!
Jackson fit us in the same day I called for help when our snow melt boiler was making a strange sound that worried us. He came even if he already had a full day of appointments and fit us in late in his evening, checking out our system, explaining things and assuring that everything was working well which gave us peace of mind. We appreciated his honesty and willingness to help us so late in the day!
Jackson at Glacier Plumbing did a fantastic job for us. Our driveway snow melting system had shutdown due to a leak in the boiler system. It’s hard to find someone that specializes in boilers and radiant heating systems. I lucked out when I called Glacier Plumbing and Hydronics. Not only did Jackson have an amazing understanding of the total system, but he was able to obtain the parts necessary and get the system up and working right away. I would highly recommend this company, especially for boiler works, but also for any other plumbing needs. Thomas Paddock
Interior and Exterior Water Line Repairs
Water supply pipes run through several areas of a property, and access conditions influence the repair.
Interior Water Lines
Leaks may occur behind walls, above ceilings, beneath floors, or near plumbing fixtures and appliances. We aim to access the affected section as directly as possible while limiting disruption to finished areas.
Exterior Water Lines
Underground lines can be affected by freezing, ground movement, root activity, corrosion, or accidental excavation. Before digging, the probable pipe route and nearby utilities must be considered carefully.
Commercial Water Lines
Commercial buildings may have larger pipes, higher demand, and more complex shutdown requirements. Plan repairs to minimize interruptions to employees, tenants, customers, or essential operations.
Water Line Problems in North Salt Lake
Winter freezes, soil movement, elevation changes, and mineral-rich water can all affect plumbing in North Salt Lake. Hillside properties near Eaglewood may present different pressure and access considerations from homes in Foxboro or established areas near Highway 89.
Commercial and mixed-use properties around Redwood Road and the I-15 corridor may also depend on higher-capacity water lines. Our technicians account for the building’s use, pipe layout, surrounding surfaces, and local conditions before recommending a repair.
What to Do When a Water Line Breaks
If a water line is actively releasing water:
- Shut off the affected isolation valve or the building’s main water valve, if it is safe and accessible.
- Turn off electrical power to flooded areas only if you can do so safely.
- Move valuables away from the water.
- Avoid walking through water near electrical equipment.
- Call a licensed plumber for professional diagnosis and repair.
Do not open walls, floors, or underground utility areas without knowing what other services may be concealed nearby.

Signs of a Damaged Water Line
Pressurized water lines can leak continuously, even when no fixtures are being used. Some failures create visible flooding, while others release water slowly into walls, soil, or concealed building spaces.
Schedule an inspection if you notice:
- A sudden reduction in water pressure
- An unexplained increase in water usage
- Damp walls, floors, or ceilings
- Water pooling in the yard
- Soft ground or unusually green landscaping
- The sound of water when fixtures are off
- Discolored water from multiple fixtures
- Recurring moisture near a pipe route
- A water meter that continues moving when water is not in use
These symptoms can also result from fixture leaks, failing valves, or pressure-control problems. We confirm the source before opening finished surfaces or excavating outside.
How We Locate Water Line Leaks
Accurate leak location helps limit unnecessary demolition and digging. The appropriate diagnostic method depends on whether the affected pipe is exposed, inside a wall, beneath a floor, or underground.
Our assessment may involve:
- Visual inspection of accessible plumbing
- Water-meter and usage checks
- Pressure testing
- Isolation of plumbing sections
- Acoustic leak-detection equipment
- Thermal or moisture readings
- Inspection of valves and connections
Diagnostic equipment helps narrow the search, but you must still interpret results alongside the property’s plumbing layout and symptoms.

Targeted Water Line Repair
A localized repair may be suitable when one section of pipe has failed and the surrounding line remains serviceable. We expose the affected area, remove or repair the damaged portion, and complete the necessary connections using materials compatible with the existing plumbing and application.
Targeted repairs may address:
- Pinhole leaks
- Split or cracked pipes
- Failed fittings and joints
- Freeze-damaged sections
- Corroded connections
- Punctures caused by tools or excavation
- Leaking shutoff valves
- Damage near the building entry point
Once the repair is complete, we restore pressure and test the affected line for leakage and proper flow.
When Repair May Not Be Enough
Repair is not always the most practical long-term option. A line with widespread corrosion, repeated failures, outdated material, or several previous patches may continue developing leaks elsewhere.
Replacement may be worth considering when:
- Leaks have occurred in multiple locations
- The pipe is severely corroded
- The existing material is no longer dependable
- Water flow remains restricted after repair
- The line is undersized for the property
- Repair requires repeatedly opening the same area
- The estimated repair cost approaches replacement cost
If the entire underground service line is deteriorated, we may recommend the dedicated Water Main Replacement in North Salt Lake service instead of another temporary repair.

Frequently Asked Questions About Water Line Repair
Cost depends on the leak’s location, pipe material, depth, accessibility, extent of damage, and the surfaces that must be opened. Plumbers must inspect the line before providing an accurate repair estimate.
Plumbers may use meter testing, pressure testing, acoustic equipment, section isolation, and visible property conditions to narrow down the leak. The best method depends on the line and site.
Yes, you can often repair an isolated damaged section when the surrounding pipe remains in good condition. Lines with extensive corrosion or repeated failures may be better candidates for replacement.
An active break can quickly waste water and damage landscaping, foundations, flooring, or building materials. Shut off the appropriate water valve when safe and arrange professional service promptly.
Accessible, localized repairs may take several hours. Underground leaks, concealed pipes, difficult access, utility coordination, or extensive surface restoration can require additional time.
